Join the Williamsburg Library Friends

Williamsburg Library Friends is a nonprofit advocacy organization which supports the  Library. Our volunteer members advocate, educate, and raise funds on behalf of the Library, its patrons, and the community.

The funds raised are used by the Library for activities not ordinarily covered under the Library's operating budget since ongoing Library operations are paid for by city and county dollars. The Friends currently have about 70 members.

Fundraising projects:

Summer Reading program funding; new color copier for the library; postage and snacks for monthly reading clubs; supporting Library Foundation fundraising for new library building

Fundraising activities:

Tree and wreath silent auction, Antique appraisal, 'Stuff the Stocking', Brats in the Park (Friday's in the park during summer months)

How to join:

Stop into the library and fill out a membership form. Annual dues are $15 per family or $10 single membership.
