ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Williamsburg Public library is happy to announce that beginning on April 1st, we will be opening our doors for open browsing hours.

Browsing is available from 12-6pm Monday through Friday. We request that patrons wear a mask when they come to the library and stay socially distant during their visit.

Computer use will still be scheduled by appointment, or on a first come first serve basis if no appointments are scheduled at the time.

In addition to the library being open for browsing hours, the two meetings rooms on the lower level will be available for the public to rent.

The library will continue to offer appointments to patrons at a limited capacity from 10-12pm Monday through Friday.

As we move forward in this pandemic, we will be implementing a three-tiered service model that adheres to the 14-Day Positivity Rate in Iowa County. The model for services offered at different positivity rates is as follows:

· 0%-10% - Library front entrance open to the public for browsing hours, masks and social distancing required.

· 10%-15% - In person appointments w/ limited capacity, masks and social distancing required.

· 15%-30% - Library Main Building closed to the public, curbside service only.

The resource that we find our 14 -Day Positivity Rate is: https://coronavirus.iowa.gov/pages/case-counts

For questions and concerns, please feel free to contact us via phone, email, or Facebook Messenger.

All overdue fines are waived until May 1, 2021.

Recently returned materials are being quarantined for 24 hours before handling or circulating again.

The Williamsburg Library Board of Trustees meets on the third Monday of each month and the public is always encouraged to attend.

The next regularly scheduled meeting will occur Monday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the large meting room in the library.  View the agenda by clicking here.
