    Did you know...?

We buy multiple copies of popular titles, so even if the wait list appears to be very long, the wait won’t be as long as it might appear.

    • We try to keep the ratio between number of copies and number of patrons on the waitlist as low as the budget will allow.  And many patrons read the ebooks quickly and return them early, also making the wait shorter.

You can return eBooks (and some audiobooks) early.

    • This means that, even if you have the limit of 3 ebooks checked out and have read them all, you can return one or more of them early and be able to check out another to read!  (You can return audiobooks early if you downloaded them to a mobile device using the Overdrive Media Console.)  Check with the librarian for instructions on returning books early, or see the NEIBORS Guide “Returning NEIBORS Books Early.”  (Check with your librarian or go to:

You can limit your search for books to only those with copies available, so if you want a book to read right now, you can easily find an available book.

    • You can do that by checking the box next to “Limit to available titles”.
